Went to Karazhan with Royal Regiment for my first time ever last Friday.

I could only stay for 3 bosses: Attumen, Moroes and Maiden of Virtue.

Lucky me I got Royal Cloak of Arathi Kings and the Bracers of Maliciousness both for my DPS set.

I was off-tanking Midnight and Moroes and trash, when my target was down I always switched to DPS to add to the killing.

BTW, after spending close to 700g in Coilfang Armaments I got exalted with Cenarion Expedition and bought my Earthwarden, which, of course, was enchanted with the +35 enchant

I also bought the Idol of Terror and I am amazed at how regularly it procs .

Finally, I also updated my shoulders to the Arena Season 1 Dragonhide ones, I am getting there

Supposedly this week I am starting in a brand new Kara group with Hrathius, so it will be fun.

A lot has happened since the last time I blog here. I will try to make a succinct post about the most relevant events and dig deeper on some of them on later entries.

* There was an implosion in Third Life (the guild) that created the need to move most 70s to other guilds. The implosion occurred when the guild lost several of their founding members. The guild came to a halt that did not help the existing high-level players so the overall decision was to take high level players to another guild. Most of us are now part of Royal Regiment.

* I finally succumbed to the pressure of my friend Zaisho and transfered Ayeela to his server (Thrall) to play with him from time to time.

* Dread has begun tanking heroics instances. I find the task very challenging and fun.

Now that we covered the majot topics I will let them be explained in detail in other posts.

There were 2 main reasons why I decided to pick up enchanting with Dread instead of Slimme.

1) He has a much higher survivability, soloing instances efficiency. This means that I will be able to run thu old low level instances all by myself if needed to pick up the greens and blues and create enchanting mats for my leveling.

2) Dreadmoon has become the grouping (and in the future) raiding toon, he's the one that will have access to much better loot and b/c of that to DE old gear and weapons.

Never heard more true words. One thing that seems to be a little hard accomplishing is making sure people in instance groups understand the concepts of "rage" and "focus fire".

If a group can concentrate on a single target and let the tank (druid or warrior) get enough rage and threat, then the instance becomes a breeze. Simply because the healer has only one toon to concentrate in and the tank has to be aware of healing aggro only.

I am still learning the tanking ropes. Lately I discovered that I am doing fine in lower level instances but need much more practice in high-level ones.

One of the things I enjoy most about WoW is the grouping piece, being able to play with friends. One of the reasons we created Evanescent Dawn was to be able to go and play together among friends.

Dreadmoon has always been a balance druid, back in the time, it was the first "chicken" druid of We Know.

Since the closest high level warrior the guild has is Thondir. So, while he levels up, I decided to take charge of the tanking for the guild.

At the beggining the idea of going feral was not very pleasant, I even went with the classical 0/31/21 spec to have Nature's Swiftness.

After this weekend of instancing and questing a lot, I just found myself that it might be better to have a full Feral druid and let the "real" healers keep my furry arse alive.

What is the result of a few friends willing to play with each other? A new guild! Evanescent Dawn is up and running since a coupe of days ago. We are just getting our feet wet.

Our purpose is simply, to enjoy the game among friends. Some of us have spent most of the past weekend helping friends leveling up, and did we have fun! :-D

Progression will be slow, but we have all the time in the world, and as long as we enjoy the company of each other, all the rest can wait.

Today I am grateful for the idea of 5 men instances for small guilds.

How do you ensure a guild will never die? You take away the core of it and replace it with the idea of “cool place to hang”. Then, it will never matter why is people hanging in there, the collective will assume it is cool to be part of the guild and that will give enough reason to be there… and the guild will never “die”, or will be?

What happen when you realize that old-standing guild members leave the guild and nobody really cares? You transformed the guild into the myth of the hydra, cut one head, 2 more will replace it. True, they will be different heads, but who cares, the beast will still live.

After a few weeks of leaving We Know, and seeing from outside what my friends are going thru I feel sad for the ones remaining, mostly because it seems nobody noticed the change. But then again, if I am only one of the few who seemed to noticed… maybe it is me, right?
