Leveling up or going straight to the end?
With the upcoming of The Burning Crusade, the 10 new levels and my increasing interest in raiding; I been thinking lately of the pros and cons of leveling your own toon from 1 to 60/70 or to invest money into an already leveled toon – Yes, buying a WoW account from eBay –
While a lot of the purist will say that buying the toon takes out all the fun, I am beginning to disagree with that feeling. I just dinged my 2nd level 60 character (Slimme), since both of them are Alliance that means that I’ve done the leveling quests 2 times already. If you add to that the fact that I have Ayeela (level 40) and Tinymoon (level 33) you can clearly imagine that questing from 1-40 is not “really” fun anymore. On the other hand, raiding is becoming such a challenging thing to do that I am looking forward to test the different classes at it.
You can always argue that getting an “already made” toon will mean that you have no idea how to play the class; and you might be right with the statement… except that I’ve know many people leveling a toon with one specific spec and then switching to a complete different one when they start to raid. From Warriors to Priests most classes end up that way.
So, you will probably disagree with the “ethics” behind buying a level 70 toon. Me? I will just wait and see. Still have 2 toons to take all the way to 70 ;-)
